Sunday see's the start of my show season.

Bit late this year, but had a few things on & still getting birds back together from my summer break.
Its a nice feeling planning my entries and having a good look over the birds & cages  

Started cleaning the cages & tidying up last weekend, give a couple of new ones I have aquired a lick of paint, but have plenty to do Saturday ready for the off!

To be honest, I have not any high hopes of taking any honours, the birds are not really at their very best this year & neither are the cages BUT the shows like this need supporting or we will lose them & it is the "taking part" that counts.
It is a great day out, meet up with friends old & new, all sharing the passion for Softbills - a very unique atmosphere.

I have entered a total of 10 cages
(good job I have the use of a van - as these softbill cages take up a fair bit of room)

The entry is going to be :

2 Redstarts, 2 Dunnocks, Pied wagtail cock, Nuthatch cock, 2 Song Thrushes , a silver Blackbird hen & normal Blackbird cock .

So a mixed bunch!
