Hi all back in 2004 when we first started BBIA, the majority of members were more accustomed to the hardbills.
For some reason very few took on the challenges and delights of the softbills, in fact we really struggled to get many active softbill breeders.

It would be interesting to find out via a poll, if the situation has changed any.

Involved with or have the details of your local club or society?
If so you can advertise and provide up and coming events or anything ells related to the club/society you’re involved with within the “Local & National clubs & society listings”.

Simply start a new topic with the name of the club/society in the title on the forum "LOCAL, NATIONAL CLUBS & SOCIETY LISTINGS" and then provide the details you would like to help promote and recruit new members within the content of the new topic (that simple).
You can then update as required with announcements, events or whatever.

We some time ago applied to be affiliated to the British Bird Council, we felt that there would be several benefits to this should the council accept BBIA, whilst we had every intention in seeking opinions of BBIA membership, we were confident that we would have the support of the membership, and did think it would have been a pointless exercise, plus a waste of BBIA members time if the council were to reject our application.

We are extremely proud to announce that this affiliation was indeed ratified at the recent BBC AGM & now we are affiliated.

We were requested to refrain announcing it for a while by the committee just so the minutes could be published & communication for all the member clubs would be fair.

Unfortunately this has been raised on another forum now so it is only fair that we make the official announcement of what we see as an important move, albeit under rather forced circumstance.

There is a big step from openly discussing any issue on a totall ...

The new drug has the potential to save thousands - if not millions - of lives during a major pandemic
A superdrug that protects against all the most deadly types of flu has been developed by scientists.

A single injection of the anti-viral medicine can fight off everything from a common winter virus to a life-threatening strain of bird flu, researchers say.
The breakthrough brings closer the Holy Grail of influenza treatment - a oneshot vaccine for lifelong protection against every imaginable type of the virus.
