Birds & The Law |
If
you’re new to the British
Bird keeping scene you may be
unaware that by law any British
birds in captivity-
that are to be exhibited in any
show or simply to sell the birds
on, then they require a closed
ring.
The rings can only be fitted whilst
the bird is still in the nest
and must be Defra approved rings.

represent the Fancy at meetings

commonly kept cage birds up

Sizes R-Z cost 4.50 @ 10.
Non members can order rings
from the IOA but will need
to add 2.00 per each 10 rings
ordered. |

(The
Partnership for Action Against
Wildlife Crime) |

The
Partnership for Action Against
Wildlife Crime (PAW) is a
multi-agency body comprising
representatives of all the
organisations involved in
wildlife law enforcement in
the UK.
It provides opportunities
for statutory and non-Government
organisations to work together
to combat wildlife crime.
Its main objective is to promote
the enforcement of wildlife
conservation legislation,
particularly through supporting
the networks of Police Wildlife
Crime Officers and Customs
Wildlife and Endangered Species
Officers. |
